Northern Virginia Family Session // Alexandria, VA // Luxury VA Family Photographer

I love a good "porch"rait session. Porchraits were all the rage during the peak of the pandemic, and it was so fun to bring them back! When the Navaroli fam told me about their brick townhome in a quaint part of Nova, I knew we had to highlight it! Being a military family you move around a lot; buying, selling, and trying to make different places feel like home. Each house and location are unique, so I also feel sentimental about documenting it! Hopefully they look back on these photos in 5, 10, 15 years and share stories with their sweet kiddos about the memories that were made within this particular house.

For those of you that don't know, my husband is active duty Air Force. The military has pretty much always been a part of our story. One year into dating my husband (then boyfriend) was accepted into the US Air Force Academy and the rest is history. The military has been so great for us, and most days we love it. However, there are times when it can be very discouraging and very isolating. Moving around, making friends, and dealing with lots of unknowns can be heavy at times. One constant that I have always had, and always loved, is the online community that comes with this lifestyle.

Insert....Wives of the Air Force. Aka WAFS. Wives of the Air Force is an online blog, instagram, facebook group, and overall badass community started by two gals looking to learn, connect, share, and relate with military spouses all over the globe. That cute lil momma pictured above?! Yup, that is one of those gals! Kirst is as sweet as she seems online and I adored finally getting to hug her in person! I highly encourage you to check out Wives of the Air Force! I will link their website here. I love love love them and their mission. I have met so many great friends through this community and I cannot recommend it enough!

Cannot get over the sweetness of this family. Carmen and Gaetano are the cutest kiddos and were literal angels during photos.
